Germany and Prague Tour: Bremen

2nd destination: Bremen. Two nights(30 and 31 merdeka Aug) at the Bremer Backpacker Hostel. Great beds great room but there is no basin for handwashing upstairs and its location is far from oldtown, where most of the interesting places are there. Other notable sights and things that I don't have photo to show here are the Böttcherstraße; Schnoor, a small, well-preserved area of crooked lanes and fishing houses from the 15th and 16th centuries, now occupied by cafés, artisan shops and art galleries; Beck's Beer Factory, tours are available to the public which include beer tasting( 5 glasses of beer at the end of the tour); and along river Weser. Gerhard Marcks's famous 1953 bronze sculpture Die Stadtmusikanten (Town Musicians) which portrays the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale.
The impressive Cathedral St. Petri (13th century), to the east of the Marktplatz
The Marktplatz at night. The Marktplatz (Market square) is dominated by the opulent façade of the Town Hall. The building was erected between 1405 and 1410 in Gothic style, but the façade was built two centuries later (1609-12) in Renaissance style.
A 100 year old windmill in tranquil Wallanlagen Park. Now houses a cafe restaurant

Glockenspiel(carillon) with 10 rotating panels celebrating famous marine explorers such as Christopher Columbus and Leif Eriksson.
